The Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you've got a Zumba® class!



1. Wear low tread sneakers. You want the bottom of your sneakers to be as smooth as possible, yet have well-cushioned support inside.  Try a shoe that has good cushion support, medial-lateral support (for side to side movements) and low-traction rubber (for easy sliding and turning).  It is not recommended that you do cardio workouts barefoot. 

2. Water Water Water.  Before, during, and after your workout. Most people burn between 500-1000 calories a workout!

3. Dance at your own pace.  Do not try to move like anyone else.  Do what's comfortable for you.  You can modify any exercise to your personal comfort level.  If you can't perform a certain move, march in place - it's a CARDIO workout so keep that heart rate going.
